The British declare war on the French

Also known as the French and Indian war, The seven years war was the war bettwen the French and the British (and the natives siding betwen the two). The British wanted the French out of their teretory and some more land while the colonists where extreamly mad becuse of the taxes.

The Tready Of Paris gave the Brtish all of the land east of the Missasippi and all of canada while the spanish got the land west of the miss. The British wanted the land and the collionests didnt react well to the taxes.

The British wanted to avoid conflict so they past these acts saying the colionest could not cross the Appalation mountains. This angered the colionests becuse they got prety much the same amount of land as they had before.

This act taxed every piece of parchment located in the colliones. It was used in Britan before and was sucsessful. This the colionests took a toll on, and hated brittan for taxing them.

The Sugar Act placed a tax on sugar and mallases that did not effect many. The British did this to recover from the French and Idian war. This act enabled costoms officers to search ships at will. Becuse the officers were not very honest, they often stole from these ships. This angered the merchants becuse they felt it was an invasion of privacy.

These acts taxed varius household items such as papper, silk, glass, tea, and lead. This caused the collionests to boycot the goods and the acts were eventualy repealed.

A mob comfunted British troops at Boston Costoms Courthouse. The tensions betwen them rose and the british fired and killed 5 collinests. Two sloders were found guilty of man slagter the others were not. Samual Adams took the opertunity to call this event a Massacure, causing more bad fealings towards the British.

This made all collinests have to provide for all British solders. This angered them but little could be done.

Tea merchants in the colonies were cut out of the tea trade because the British passed a law so that the East India Company did not have to pay taxes.The company monopolized tea trade in the colonies. Because of this the Boston Tea Party accured.

Because of the Tea act, The Sons of Liberty dumped 90,000 pounds ot tea into boston harbor. The British responded with the intolerable acts.
