    Following a “Dream Graduation” by hundreds of DREAM eligible students, supporters rally outside the Senate offices as twenty-two undocumented youth sit-in in the building lobby and in offices of various Republican and Democratic senators.     September 6, 2011: Directly confronting the record-setting deportations of President Obama and Democrats’ complicity in North Carolina and nationwide anti-immigrant laws, a sit-in is held in Charlotte, where the 2012 Democratic convention will be held. Seven undocumented youth (Martin Rodriguez, Cynthia Martinez, Santiago Garcia, Alicia Torres-Don, Manuel Vasquez, Angelica Velazquillo, and Marco Saavedra) are arrested in the civil disobedience; overzealous police detain three others.
