    After Paul Revere rode through Lexington and Concord warning colonist that the british were coming. The colonists and the British met in Lexington and faught, and the colonists were forced to retreat. While hunting them down, the British tried to find the stored guns, but it was gone. The colonists then attacked the British at Concord's north bridge and were winning. This was the first battle of the revolution.

    The members of the Second Continental Congress held a meeting at the State House in Philadelphia. There were several new delegates including: John Hancock, Thomas Jefferson, and Benjamin Franklin. The Second Continental Congress meeting started with the battle of Lexington and Concord. The New England army were still camping outside of to drive the British out of Boston.
