    Abagail Adams (born)
    Abagail was the spouse of John Adams. She became a politician in Massechusetts. She became a mother almost as soon as they were married and took a great part in the American Revolution.
  • Martha Washington

    Martha Washington
    Martha Washington married George Washington in 1759. She helped the Patriots greatly, and helped her husband when he needed her.
  • Treaty of Paris 1763

    This treaty made the French an irrelevant threat to the colonists so they felt that they did not need the British for protection anymore.
  • Proclamation Of 1763

    It was important because it was the end of the French and Indian war and therefore, set up new oppertunities for colonists. After this, the colonists felt strong resentment towards the British, because they were prohibited from settling in certain places.

    This act was important because it placed taxes on writen things, and made the colonists angry.

    It was an act that punished mutiny or desertion, so the colonists were not happy with this act because it was too strict.

    A group of shopkeepers joined together began to prepare for aggitatin against the stamp act. It grew after this group;there were many followers such as workers or tradesmen.

    It was important because they placed taxes on glass, oil, lead, paper and tea and this caused crowds and mobs. Because of this, troops from England marched in to occupy Boston.

    This was very important because it killed 5 unarmed colonists and the colonist's anger broke loose. This was a major event that had to happen in order for the Revolutionary War o take place. After this, a town meeting was called declaring that the British go back home.

    The Boston Tea Party was important because it was an act of rebelion against the parlimnt and it showed England that the Colonists were angry and it made the Britich lose a lot of money!

    Patriots were people who were tired of Britain's strong hold on the America. They were the first to rebel, and they rebelled in many ways. One display of rebellion was the Boston Tea Party.

It was important because many leaders emerged out of the midst of the followers. They all agreed that the King of England had to understand what was goin on in America.

    After the Battle of Concord and Lexington, any toleration for the loyalists disappeared. Loyalists were people loyal to the British crown, and after the Revolutionary War started, many Patriots hated them.

    This Midnight Ride was when Paul Revere rode to Lexington Massachusetts to warn them that the British were coming. Thsi was important becasue he gave the colonists a head chance and win. The battle that commenced was a critical battle.

    Thsi was important because Common Sense challenged the authority of the British. It was the first work to have openly asked for independence from the British.

    Thomas Paine influenced the Revolutionary war because he published Common Sense. Common Sense was a phamplet that made people doubt British rule and yearn for independence.

    Thomas Jefferson was a very influencial man. He wrote the bulk of the Declaration of Independence. He was also the third US president.

    This document declared independence for the 13 colonies. It was signed a year before the war actually started but, it was important because it sparked a fire in the people's hearts to rebel.

    This battle was important because it was the turning point of the Revolutionary War! The British lost 86% of their troops and surrendered to arms to the Colonists.

    It was one of the last battles of the Revolutionary war and it ended October 19 1781 when Cornwallis surrendered. It sealed the Colonist's victory.

    This treaty was important because it lead to the toppling of the Lord North's Tory government. Because of this,the British recognised that the Americans wanted freedom. This doubled the size of America's new country.
