This led to all sorts of acts in an atempt to get their money back. The acts imposed on the colonists made them angry and eventualy led to the American Revoultion.

At the end of the Seven Years War, Britian was in debt and needed a source of capital. Since the taxes in England were already ver4y high they imposed taxes on the colonists reasoning that the colonist should pay for the soldiers stationed there.
