  • French and Indian War ends

    French and Indian War ends
    The ending call of the war sounded victory across England. But with every major war comes major expenses. The British would light the sparks of revolution, starting the events that lead to the Revolutionary war.
  • Sugar Act

    This act is when the colonists start to get irritated. This bill would enforce the tax that the colonists mostly avioded to get their sugar and molasses
  • Boston Tea Party

    One night, when the latest tea shipment arrived and they forced the colonists to buy their un-needed tea, The colonists dressed up as natives and boarded the ship. They tosses sea-side barrels of tea.
  • Lexington And Concord

    Lexington And Concord
    around 700 men went to capture the arms and firearms that the Americans rumored they had. Paul Revere had already warned the colonists about the attack, and they prepared. groups of minutemen lined up at Lexington, prepared to wage war. The British were successful at penitrating through them, as they routed. The minutemen gathered from everywhere and set up at Concord. They fought the British, succeding in driving them out.
  • Bunker Hill

    Bunker Hill
    First of all, they are not fighting on Bunker Hill. They are fighting on Breed's Hill. The Americans built an overnight fort on Breed's hill trying to gain a tactical advantage. When the British heard wind of this, they sent forces to take out the rebels. They sent three waves of solders. The first two were defeated, and the third one succeded. Althought the British did win, they suffered more casulties.
  • "Common Sense"

    "Common Sense"
    Thomas Pain wrote a phamlet that encorages the reader to "use their common sense" about revolting. It turned out to be a massive success, as most colonists had a copy of the phamplet. It would at least bring up the thought of revolution in the Colonists's mind
  • Declaration of Independence

    Declaration of Independence
    The Congress agree to sign the Declaration of Independence, making the time the colonies will try to fight and unite as one country.
  • Long Island

    In This battle, George Wahington lined up his men to defend New York. They were to meet on open battle with the British, who were up to other ideas. The British, instead, lined up their men and sent another group around the hill that was unoccupied by the Americans, and created a suprise attack. Surrounded on both sides, The americans made a retreat, a retreat that would prove costly to the British.
  • Crossing the Deleware

    Crossing the Deleware
    Washington leads his men to Trenton crossing the Deleware, because he sees the perfect oppurtunity to strike. The enemy forces were celebrating the holidays, unaware they would get attacked. George Washington easily took Trenton with the help of suprise on his side.
  • Valley Forge

    Washington's forces retire for the winter in Valley forge in the season's changing. Washington's goal by the beggining of Summer is to have a very disciplined army, much like European armies. The encampment itself was falling apart, as the soldiers were cold and hungary. The person who mainly held it together was Von Steuben.
  • Yorktown

    Yorktown
    The Americans, along with the French, surround Yorktown. The french warships blocade the chesapeake bay, cutting off the British supply line and route of escape. On land, The french and Americans set up lines and batteries of men and cannons, turning the invasion into a seige. Cornwallis surrenders, making this the last major battle of The Revolutionary War.
  • Treaty of Paris

    The Americans and British met in Paris to discus the means and agreements to settle the war. It was basically the "you win" note. When Britain agreed to sign it, it ment that Britain now considered the United States its own free and independent country.
