    In 1750 the British parliament passed the Iron Act . To restrict industrial production and manufacture in the American colonies.

    A law passed by the British Parliament. Merchants were required to pay a tax of six pence per gallon on the importation of foreign molasses.

    The Stamp Act was passed by the British Parliament on March 22 1765. American colonists required them to pay a tax on every printed paper they used. Ship's papers, legal documents, licenses, newspapers, other publications, Opposition by the Colonies resulted in the repeal.
