  • The French and Indian War

    The French and Indian War
    Aka the seven years war, faught between british america and new france.
  • Proclamation of 1763

    Established four new colonies. King established the proclamation so that the colonials would not expand into indian teritory.
  • Sugar Act

    The sugar act reduced the rate of tax from six pence to three pence per gallon. Listed more foreign goods to be taxed such as sugar.
  • Stamp Act

    Imposed direct tax on British parliament and it required many printed materials to be produced on stamp paper.
  • Toenshend Acts

    Passsed by English parliament after the stamp act. Designed to collect revenue from the colonists in America by putting costum duties on imports.
  • Boston Massacure

    British troops fired into a crowd and killed five men.
  • Bosten Tea Party

    Parliament retained the tax on tea as a symbol of its right to tax the colonie. In Bosten three tea ships arrived and some colonists disguised as native americans and threw the tea into the harbor.

    Limited the political and geographical freedom of the colonists.

    Started the American Revelutionary War .
