    Alphabet

    No one knows when it was developed but it was always used. There were other ways of communicating before the alphabet was coined. Pictures were used in books or stone carvings.

    Gutenberg: Movable Type

    Gutenberg introduced the first movable type print machine. Lead to reformation and different revolutions in Europe. "The Gutenberg Bible" was the first major book printed with the movable machine. As of 2009, only 48 "Bible" orginal copies and only 29 are complete.

  • Gigantic presses

    Fredrick Koenig patented in 1810 the steam powered Giant Press. The presses' capacity 480 pages per hour. At first the presses were powered by steam and then later by electricity. First production started in 1811. In 1814, he sold his first two model to the times in London. The presses were capable of 1,1000 pages per hour.

  • The Television

    Television began to spread information fast. It was just like the radio but you were able to see the news instead of reading or hearing it. Now, you are able to get TV in HD and big screens, like in movie theatres.
  • Computer

    The first electronic computers were made between 1940 and 1945. They were first use for military purposes. Eventually, the public was able to use computers but it was very limitted. Now you can find a computer in every household across the US.
  • The Radio

    One of the first ways that people were able to get information fast. The radio was used as entertainment and educational. The news was on the radio as well. Newpaper printing were still being used daily.
  • iPad

    The frist basic ideas of the iPad came in 1993. It was discontinued in 1998, for reasons unknown. The iPhone was invented which was a phone based off of 2007 and than the iPad was reintroduced in late 2009. 7 million were sold in 2012. There are three different generations.
