    The first Pure Food and Drug Act was passed in 1906 to protect people from adulteration of food and from products identified as healthful without scientific support.
  • Meat Inspection Act

    President Theodore Roosevelt began Meat Inspection Act, which followed by Pure Food and Drug Act. t was to be applied to goods shipped in foreign or interstate commerce. The purpose was to prevent adulteration or misbranding.
