    This article discusses the use of virtual reality to treat soldiers that were specifically deployed and in combat. They discuss the use of "Virtual Vietnam" in the treatment of PTSD victims from the Vietnam War and as well as a "Virtual Iraq" that is in the works as well. These authors found that Virtual Reality has encouraging results for those affected.

    This article talks about making a connection between the real world and the virtual world using interreality. With interreality what happens in the virtual world affects the real world and vice versa. They found that this treatment was beneficial.
  • "Early Intervention For Preventing Posttraumatic Stress Disorder: An Internet Based Virtual Reality Treatment"

    This article discusses the conjunction of both internet based therapy and virtual reality to treat PTSD early on. It goes into depth of a study of car crash survivors that were assessed before and after treatment, as well as 12-mnths and 6-mnths post-trauma. The survivors were given online therapy with virtual reality sessions in between each therapy session. They study was assessed over the phone. The study found that early intervention of PTSD with online therapy and VR was beneficial.

    This article talks about the usefulness of virtual reality in the treatment of PTSD, as well as how the effectiveness of this treatment could be measured. This study used individuals affected by PTSD and exposure therapy to treat them and then measured their cortisol and psychophysiological levels and whether they increased or decreased. They included D-cycloserine and alprazolam with virtual reality as well as a placebo and found that D-cycloserine along with VR was most beneficial.
