    It was aimed at ending American involvement inthe Vietnam War. It was a way to end and withdraw U.S troops from Vietnam while supplying Vietnam forces with money, training, weapons, and advisors. This way the south Vietnam forces could defend itself and fight off any invading forces.

    Withdrawal of Troops Begin
    This strategy weakened the U.S forces but it was enough to call in air strikes without a lot of cassualities. This also steeped up the arming and training on the South Vietnam but at the same time the south were exhausted and demoralized.

    Silent Majority
    The Silent Majority were targetted to people who were quiet in public but supported President Nixon. Nixon appreciated these people who supported him because it was Nixon responsibility to honor its international agreements and to protect the South Vietnamese from communist reprisal.

    A report surfaced of a massacre a year earlier of 350 Vietnamese civilians, including women and children, in the village of Mylai. These attacks came from our soldiers in Vietnam. It intensified discussion about the effects of war on individuals. They treated returning soldiers with disregard and aversion which caused a division between them.

    The admendment lowered the voting age from 21 to 18 years of age. Which also lowered the age to enter the military to 18, meaning young men from school were drafted into war. Vietnam played an important role on America, America has learned a valuable lesson. There are limits to power and that a nation should chose carefully where and when to take a stand.

    Nixon ordered to bomb specific coordinatesto give the south forces a chance to fight. Sadly the Vietnam forces could not break the incoming attacks and defeat the communist Vietcong to defent South Vietnam from the North. The bombing was massive that it caused Nixon to loose a great number of America's strategic bombers.

    Remaining U.S Troops Removed
    After U.S troops were down to 270 thousand, President Nixon still removed more troops. The military draft came to an end. to later remove all troops from Vietnam and take a step forth the end of the Vietnam war.
