    15 wildlife poachers were arrested after being caught with 1,000kg of bush meat. Cameroon ministry of forestry and wildlife joined forces with the national military to uncover several protected species of gorillas, elephants and chimpanzees, along with over 30 guns; high caliber rifles and illegally owned AK47. They had seen 54 arrests of poachers in the area since 2008.

His collegue Jean Fils Mamendju was shot in the arm and the shoulder and was rushed to hospital where he received intensive medical attention.
