Plymouth Rock By MLBAILEY Dec 22, 1620 The Mayflower came to a new land 1741 Plymouth Rock became a subject in a conversation 1769 Descendants of the First Comers celebrated the anniversary of the landing 1774 Pilgrims were mad and were talking about war 1774 Plymouth Rock was split in half 1834 Pilgrims decided Plymouth Rock should be moved in the front of Pilgrim Hall 1859 The Pilgrims now owned the upper side of the warf and tore it down. 1867 A stone canopy was built over Plymouth Rock 1880 The Pilgrims moved the upper part of Plymouth Rock to the bottom and cemented it together 1920 Plymouth rock was moved to a new monument on Forefathers Day
