Sheridan Defeates
Sheridan defeated Jubal Early's smaller force at Third Winchester Battle, and again at Fisher's Hill Battle. Then he began the "Burning", destroying barns, mills, railroads, and factories. He destroyed resources for which the Confederacy had a dire need.
