Construction Information!

The old 3rd & 4th grade classrooms are cleared out for construction.

Footers (holes) are filled with cement to support the new 4th grade portable.

This unit was delivered from Atlanta, Georgia!

The 4th grade portable gets stuck in the mud!

The new 4th grade portable is delivered on 8 trucks.

The ceiling is opened up to make sure all of the wires are in the right place in the hallway.

A temporary wall is put up to keep dust and debris away from students and teachers.

A temporary orange fence is put up to keep people out of the construction area.

The walls and insulation all come down in the old 3rd & 4th grade.

The yellow fluffy stuff on the floor is the insulation that was used to keep the classrooms warm.

From floor to ceiling, not even the carpet remains. This is the old grade three and four pod area.

All Clear! The old 3rd & 4th grade area is all clear and ready for rebuilding.

All of the old HVAC is removed so new installation can begin.

A new road is built to handle all of the construction equipment.

Workers move dirt and rocks to make a road for additional parking.

Workers build a tunnel. The tunnel will be placed under the awning. The pupose of the tunnel is to protect students and staff from construction debris.

Workers install pipes for the geothermal energy field. Geothermal enery is energy that comes from the interior of the earth. Poles are put down deep in the earth and warm or cold water comes into the school to make our building warm or cold. This is a GREEN type of energy.

The grass behind the school is removed for the additional classrooms.

New heating and air conditioning ducts are installed.
