    In the year 2000 the automotive brand Toyota released the first ever Prius. This is the first four door sedan in the United States that his a hybrid. This car runs off of a diesel or fuel engine, but it has the power to turn off. When the engine turns off, the car can shut down and store energy, or it can run off of batteries. The electrical energy stored in the car go to the batteries, which power the car when desired. To this day, the Prius is the most popular hybrid sedan of the time period.

    Camera phones were introduced to the United States, which changed the game of technology for generations to come. I was unable to find the specific day of the release, but it was sometime in November of 2002. The iPod was more practical and efficient than anything the market had seen before. The father of the iPod, "Tony Fadell" worked hard alongside his team to create the best product he possibly could. The iPod is the fastest selling music player in history.

    With the iTunes Music Store, a customer could buy a song for just 99 cents, as long as they were an Apple user. This simple idea changed the game for the digital music world. Songs were just 99 cents, and an album was just $9.99. Before the release of the iTunes Music Store, Apple CEO Steve Jobs spend loads of time negotiating with five different music labels, in order to ensure that in demand music was available. Thousands of independent musicians also placed their work on iTunes.

"Youtubers" are able to do business on the website, and some make millions of dollars a year. Anyone can post a video on Youtube & share it with anybody in the world, which is what makes it to unique

    The home video game was released by Nintendo. This was different then any console before, mainly due to the wireless controller. The player would be able to play the game and move around freely without worrying about the wires attached to the gaming system. Not only that, but it also detected the players movement, which was practically unheard of. Wii also was able to connect to internet and receive messages.

    On June 29, 2007, technology as we known it changed. CEO Steve Jobs had invented possibly the most revolutionary product. This controversial piece of technology brought smart phones to a higher standard. It's touch screen technology was unheard of. Now, our lives practically revolve around our iPhones (for teenagers at least). Apple recently released the iPhone 7.

    This was the first e-reader of the generation. The Kindle had a long battery life, the readability of a paperback book, and the storage to hold thousands of pages of literature. No wonder why it was such a hit. Bibliophiles everywhere instantly flung to this, because they now had one device to hold all of their precious bulky books. It was also capable to connect to wireless. Now, we have many generations of the Kindle. The Kindle Fire, a recent invention, is very similar to a tablet.
