Ernest Nagel was born November 16th, 1901, in Nove Mesto Bohemia He earned his Ph.D. in Philosophy from Columbia University in 1931. In 1935 he wed Edith Haggstrom, the couple had two sons. He passed September 20th, 1985, in New York. -
An Introduction to Logic and Scientific Method
Ernest Nagel and Morris Cohen published this work in 1934, the book is an effort to better teach logical thinking and its application to a broad field of studies that may not always agree on a set form of logic. -

Nagel Publishes "Godel's Proof". It explores Kurt Godel's essay “On Formally Undecidable Propositions of Principia Mathematica and Related Systems”. The short essay addressed a problem at the very core of mathematics but was so dense only a precious few could comprehend. Simply put, Nagel's book makes this important work accessible. -
