Sergeant Charles Floyd died close to Sioux City, Iowa becaus ef an illness he had had for some time but it got better for a while, then it took a turn for the worst. William Clark said he died "with a great deal of composure." -
Prairie Dogs
The Expedition group comes acroos a village of prairie dogs and Lewis described them as barking squirels. -
Grizzly Bear
They encounter a grizzly bear and one of the group members gets severly injured then treated by having his scalp sewes back on. -
Reunion
Sacagawea reconizes the cheif as her brother. Her brother supplies the travelers with horses needed to travel over the rockies. -
Winter location
The group votes on where to spend winter and slaves and woman are allowed to vote for the first time in history. -
Separate
Lewis and Clarrk go two separate ways. Lewis takes 9 men to explore shortcuts to the Great Falls. Clark and the rest go down to Yellowstone River. -
Shot
One of Lewis' men shots him and before Lewis goes down he makes a entry in his journal about the incident.
