  • Valley opens.

    Valley opened with a bed capacity of 50. It was the first private psychiatric hospital in Chattanooga and offered only adult treatment.
  • Area Psychological Hospital, Inc. purchased Valley.

    At that time, Hospital Affiliates International, Inc. of Nashville, TN was contracted to manage the hospital.
  • Valley adds a new building.

    This increases the bed capacity to 65.
  • Valley Hospital opened an adolescent unit and an A&D unit.

    They now had 100 beds.
  • The Crossroads opened.

    This facility housed the A&D program, in a resort-like atmosphere on a property several miles from Valley.
  • New Horizons opened.

    A new Christian-based counseling program called New Horizons opened at Parkridge Medical Center.
  • The Crossroads A&D program moved back to Valley Hospital.

  • Child and Adolescent residential program began.

  • Employee Assistance Program began at Valley.

  • Outreach office at East Ridge Hospital opened.

  • Valley merged under Parkridge Health Care System.

  • The Senior Life Center opened at Valley.

  • The New Horizon program moved to Valley Hospital.

  • The Senior Life Center in-patient program moved to East Ridge Hospital.

  • Valley opened an office in Cleveland.

    Valley now offered the Intensive Outpatient Program.
  • Valley built a new playground for Valley Academy and the Child and Adolescent Program.

  • Valley re-named its programs New Path and New Reflections.

  • Valley expanded their facilities for the RESPOND team and Registration.

  • The Administration building expanded.

  • New Horizons became a 12-bed unit.

  • Valley began the Impaired Professionals Program.

  • The Child and Adolescent Subacute Program began.

  • The Outreach office moved from East Ridge Hospital to Parkridge Hospital.

  • The hospital renovated the Child and Adolescent facility.

  • Valley completed its parking lot expansion.

  • Parkridge Valley Adult & Senior Campus Opens
