    Nazis invade Netherlands, Belgium, Luxembourg. Churchill takes over as Britians prime minister after Chamberlain resigns.

  • Attack of Pearl Harbor

    Japanese attacks pearl harbor and several other places. The US and Britain declare war on Japan.

  • Relocation Centers

    Roosevelt sent Japanese and Japanese Americans in the weater US to relocation centers for the rest of the war.

  • The War in Russia

    The German 6th army surrenders at Stalingrad. That is the turning point for the war in Russia.

  • D-Day

    Allies invade Normandy on June 6, 1944. That is also known as D-Day.

  • Hitler's suicide

    Hitler's suicide is announced and Admiral Doenitz takes over command of Germany.
