    Ballantynes Fire

    In 1947 a fire occurred In Ballantynes. At one end of the shop, the fire started. Within minuets, the fire fed on the whole shop. The fire brigade did not come in time witch lead to 41 deaths in including a pregnant woman trying to climb out a window.
