The Begginig of Summer vacation.
Finn always sits infront of his house with his best friends , Mathew, and Dylan. It was the beginning of summer vacation, when Finn and Mathew were hanging out outside Finn's house, when they seen that they had a new neighbor. -
Johanna, Finn's new neighbor.
Finn sees he has a new neighbor, she walks up to them and introduces herself.She is twenty-four year old high school graduate, who unfortunately has breast cancer. She seemed really nice with Dylan, Finn,and Mathew. She was bold,pale, and skinny as well. -
Gardening Job.
She then asks Finn if he would like to work for her, as a gardner, though she wants him to make a garden for his own backyard. He does not agree at first, but he kindly accepted. She then makes him a binder of all the procedues that need to be done to get the garden started. -
Struggles with planting the garden.
Finn has difficulties with planting the garden. He first flood the whole backyard, then rabits made wholes on the soil, then he put the wrong fertalizer for the plants, and stunk up all the backyard.Which he also got poison ivy from it. He was at the point of giving up, but he never did. -
Hepling Johanna with Donations.
Finn and Mathew decide to help Johanna get donations for the breast cancer triathlon. That same day, they both went to Mathew's work, the construction place, and asked for donations for Johanna's condition. Finn had to do all the talking because Mathew left. Finn got over a thousand dollars by the kindness of the construction workers. -
First party at Finn's house.
Johanna makes a party for Finns' dad, since he was done with school. She then invites her folks, Auntie Bean and Fernanda. Fernanda and Finns' dad seem to have a relationship going. Finns' dad told everyone who came in, to contribute to Johannas' cause. Johanna's family gets to know Finn's family better, as well as Mathew's. -
Mathew and Finn attend a day at an arboretum that Johanna planned for them , so they can learn more about nature. It's like being in a camp for a day.
They got dropped off by Finns' grandmpa. Then they both go twilight hiking and go off track from the camp group. They spent all night trying to get back to the camp station. They finally got back to the camp and Finn went right to sleep, but Mathew woke him up at 5:30 in the morning for morning hike. Later that day, they got picked up by Finns' grandmpa. -
Everything goes wrong when it's time for Finn to get ready for the date with Karla.
He uses a bronzer that turned him orange, and he had pink spots all over his body because of a rash he got from the poison ivy. Finn then awaits for Karla at her house. He was really nervous, hands all sweaty, not knowing what to talk about with Karla. -
Johanna makes a date for Finn. Finn has never gone on a date, especially with someone he has a crush on, known as Karla.
The date goes well. He was nervous but he was able to pull it off. He felt good that she was talking to him like if he was her bestfrind. He never felt so strongly in love for someone like her. She tells him that he is great to talk to. This was a start of a friendship. -
Finn wakes up Mathew early in the morning.
Mathew gets mad that Finn woke him up just to show him that the seeds he planted are now buds. They both get into an argument, and at the end, they realize they fought for a dumb reason. They both also realize that they have fallen inlove with Johanna. -
The night before the trilothon, Johanna had a party.
The house was loud and crowded.That same night, she had gotten Matthew and Finn gifts to thank them for being such a help with the fund-raising this summer. Everyone got pink TEAM JOHANNA t-sirts. -
That same night, was the best ,but worst day that Mathew and Finn ever experienced.
Dylan, the dog went to warn Mathew and Finn about Johanna. They botth headed to her room, but she wouldn't answear them. She then opened the door and she looked pale and she was shaking. She was goin through her chemo process, and she was also starting to get a cold. She was trying to hard to get in shape for the race. They both knotesed that Johanna wasn't looking stable to compete in the race, so they both decided to take her place for the triathlon. -
Mathew and Finn get ready for the triathlon.
Before the race, Johanna tells Mathew and Finn that team Johanna raised eleven thousand,one hundred and sixty dollars and thirty-eight cents. They were both very happy and proud. Then Mathew went upstairs to get his running shoes and swim trunks. Finn was the one who was gonna finish the race by riding the bike in 6.2 miles to the finish line. -
The day of the race.
Finn see's his dad holding Dylans' leash, with Karla next to him. Mathew's dad was there as well. Finns' grandmpa was with Auntie Bean and Fernanda on either arm. Then Finn sees' Johanna in a wheel chair smiling at him with her parents, Pat and Dick. Dylan had a t-shirt that said "WE LOVE YOU FINN, WOOF" and on the other side it said," WE LOVE YOU MATHEW, WOOF." They were all there to support them in the race. Finn didn't struggle, Mathew and him both had fun while doin it. They got medals too. -
Party after the race at Johanna's house.
During the party, Mathew gets an idea and whispers it to Finn, Finn's dad, and Fernanda. They go to the store to buy supplies. An hour later they came back to the party and Finn tells everyone to follow him for a suprise. Johanna was suprised to see that they had brought her to the Centennial Beach.It was ilegal to go at night and cut the lock, but it was all worth it to the rest of the family. Johanna loved them both.She hugged them both and said," Cancer can't ever touch that.
