    Aluminum foil is used all the time in the kitchen, and is a great way to preserve food. Everyone's used it, and everyone has been scolded for using too much to wrap something up. Aluminum foil doesn't rust and resists heat which is why it's so popular for every day use.

    Nathaniel Baldwin is to thank for the modern headphones. Made by hand and sold to the navy, these were the first used for telephone operators, not for music. Today I use mine all the time to zone out and enjoy my favorite artists.

    The first personal computer to be released, the Altair packed a 8800 processer by Intel. This PC could be sold as a kit for $439 or sold assembled for $621. While this PC didn't take off incredibly, it was the first of its kind.

    While I'm not an expert yet, Java is the coding language I have the most experience with. I've already spent a lot of hours behind a screen working on Java code and I plan to continue doing so for quite a while! Since its initial release, there have been multiple newer versions released, with Java 18 planned to release in March 2022.

    Like most other people these days, I use my iPhone every day. While the first touch screen phone, the IBM Simon, released in 1992, the iPhone irrefutably exploded the popularity of touch screen devices. Fun fact, cobalt mining helps create the lithium ion batteries in most mobile phones, and the mining process exploits child labor and takes advantage of those in poverty in countries like Congo!
