    Avram Noam Chomsky was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania to a middle-class Jewish family.

    Education.

    In 1945 Chomsky became a student of University of Pennsylvania. He graduated in 1949 with his bachelor's in linguistics. Later, in 1951 he obtained his master's and then finally in 1955 he received his doctorate.

    Chomsky joined the Massachusetts Institute of Technology's linguistics and philosophy department
  • Theory of Syntax

    Chomsky publishes his first theory called 'Aspects of the Theory of Syntax' in which he explains how human infant are born with the understanding of the framework for grammar.

  • Cartesian Linguistics
