Birth of Avram Noam Chomsky
Chomsky born in Philadelphia Pennsylvania to his jewish immigrant parents, Ze'ev "William" Chomsky and Elsie Simonofsky. Noah the first born soon became an older brother five years later in 1934 to David Eli Chomsky. The brothers were raised Jewish, taught Hebrew, and involved in speaking on the political views of Zionism.

Chomsky starts college
At age 16 Chomsky started collage at the University of Pennsylvania. At first nothing piqued his interest and considered leaving university until he met one of the American founders of structural linguistics, Selling S. Harris. Both Harris and Chomsky's political convictions were similar in which allowed Chomsky to find an interest in learning at the school. -
Bachelors Degree
Chomsky achieved his bachelors degree in linguistics in which he applied Harris's methods to language within his thesis "Morphophonemic of Modern Hewbrew." -

Chomsky and Carol Doris Schatz get married. -
Masters Degree
Chomsky achieved his masters degree from the university of Pennsylvania where he revised his thesis "Morphophonemic of Modern Hebrew." -
PhD / MIT
Chomsky achieved his PhD from the University of Pennsylvania in Linguistics and shortly after joined the staff of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Chomsky also began to write his first book known as the Syntactic Structures where discussion of a formal theory of linguistics distinguishes between syntax, the structure of language, and the meaning of semantics. -

Chomskys first book published resulting in a major impact on the study of knowledge, mind and mental processes, becoming an influential work in the formation of the field of cognitive science. -
Professor
Chomsky proceeded to found MIT's graduate program in linguistics. In 1961 he was awarded tenure, becoming a full professor in the Department of Modern Languages and Linguistics. -
The Logical Structure of Linguistic Theory
Written in 1955 and published in 1975 Chomsky's linguistic theories changed the ways in which humans looked at the language development and use. He identified an innateness to language development that previous linguists overlooked. -
Morphophonemic of Modern Hebrew
Chomsky published his thesis which provides not only an analysis of morphophonemics but the entire grammar of Modern Hebrew from syntax to phonology. -
Retirement

Carol's Death
Chomsky's wife died of cancer in her home in Lexington, Massachusetts. -

Chomsky remarried to Valeria Wasserman. Born in Brazil Wasserman is 35 years younger to Chomsky. -
