Theory for atom, based on quantum theory, in which energy is transferred in only certain well defined quantities. Electrons move around the nucleus in predefined orbits and when jumping from one orbit to another of lower energy, a light quantum is emitted. His theory could explain why atoms emitted light in fixed wavelengths. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=S1LDJUu4nko

Released his atomic model that is well known today. The protons and neutrons lie in a dense central region called the nucleus with the electrons orbiting around it, much like the planets orbiting the Sun.
