  • Mt Tarawera

    This event happened on the 10th June 1886. 120 people were killed and the Pink and White Terraces were destroyed.

  • The Landslide on White Island

    On the 10th September 1914, 10 people were killed on Whakaari White Island due to an eruption causing a landslide.

  • The Battle at Gallipoli

    At dawn on 25 April 1915 many soldiers died at Gallipoli. Around 130,000 men died.

  • Spanish Influenza

    The Influenza started in February of 1918 and ended around April 1920. It killed around 9000 New Zealanders and 50 million people worldwide.

  • Napier Earthquake

    The Napier Earthquake started on the 3rd February 1931.Around 256 people were killed during this incident
