  • Hitler made chancellor of Germany

    Also referred as the Night of Broken Glass was progrom coordinatedattacks against Jews throught out Nazi Germany and parts of of Austria. The events of Krsitallnacht progrom represent one of the most important turning points in anti-Jewish Nazi policy

    This is when German Invaded Poland to start ww2 . also showed German military strength with blitzkrieg.

    Also kown as miracle of Dunkirk. Military dsaster for French. Involved the evacuation of allied soldiers from the beaches and harbour of dunkirk, france. German win but French moral booster.
  • Attack on Pearl Harbor

    was a surprise military strike conducted by the imperial Japanese Navy against the united states. The significanse of the bombing of Pearl Harbor is that it made the U.S led to ww2.
  • Bataan Death March

    Was a 70-mile forced march of american and filipino prisoners of war by japanese forces during world war2 . The Bataan Death March showed the cruelty that japanese had for any foreigner.
  • Battle of the Midway

    Naval Batlle of the ww2, American plans based on land and on carriers decisevely defeated Japanese fleet on it's way to invade the Midway Islands. was important because the battle of the midway ended the threat of further japanese invasion in the pacific.
  • D-Day

    The day of the normandy landings. Initiating the western allied effort to liberate mainland Europe from Nazi occupation.
  • Battle of the bulge

    Was a major german offensive campaign. The battle of bulge was important because it was the last offensive for the germans in the west .
  • Yalta Conference

    A conference held in Yalta, where Roosevelt, Stalin, and churchil planned the final stages of ww2 and agreed to the territorial division of Europe. The importance of the Yalta Conference was that it helped shaped modern European politics and borders.

    On this day both Great Britain and the united states celebrate victory in Europe day, It's important because it was when ww2 ended.
  • The Bombing of Hiroshima

    The atomic bombings of the cities of Hiroshima and Nagasaki in Japan were conducted by the united states during the final stages of ww2. THe two events are the only use of the nuclear weapons in war to date. The atomic bombs ended ww2.
  • Japanese invasion of Manchuria

    The japanese controlled the Manchuria railway. Japan wanted to extend the Japanese empire . The major reason why the japanese invaded Manchuria was because Japan was becoming increasingly crowded since it had a limited size and the population was increasing.

    THe day marking the allied victory over Japan in ww2. It was important because it was the day that Japan surrendered, ending the war.
