Going back to my roots. Working for an application specific integrated circuit manufacturer. Became a support engineer, working with design engineers on software issues and problems.

VLSI Technology was sold to Philips. I was moved into the IT department as a software support engineer. Worked with national and international offices of Philips to install and debug software.

Philips Electronics spun off its semiconductor business as a stand alone company. I continued to work as an engineering software support engineer.
