In 2003, my parents gave me my first Nokia cell phone. It had a huge antenna and only one game on it. I couldn't text, but I had it for after school activities and emergencies only.

In 2006, my sister graduated from high school, and my parents bought her a laptop for graduation. Although she was supposed to use it for college, we used it for messaging, Facebook, and other social media networking.

In 2007, my parents finally decided to get a cordless phone that could be used throughout the entire house, instead of the wall phones in the kitchen, laundry room, and their bedrooms. We got a cordless phone in the kitchen, living room, their bedrooms, and the basement.

In 2008, I got my first smart phone. With this phone, I could browse the internet, and text my friends.
