    At the age of 6, I started to find a bigger interest in books and would read them in Spanish and English.

    Every few months in elementary we would have a book fair at the school library I would make sure my dad gave me money so I could buy a few new books.

    It became a strategy my teacher would use a lot in the classroom, I was shy, but it made me focus more on the text and what was being read.

    In my 5th grade class we would go to the library about once a week and spend about 30 mins reading a book with a partner and sharing what we read.

    We had the opportunity to make our own book about any topic I chose Vikings. They gave us a blank book with a chard over and pages in it. We were able to get very creative with it and learn about our topic at the same time. it was very enjoyable.

    Did my first read aloud in front of the class, it wasn't perfect, but with practice I will get better.
