Learning to read
Second grade is when I began to learn how to read. I was a good reader, but I always dreaded reading out loud to others, or just reading in general. I thought it was very boring. Picture from: https://www.google.com -

Mount 101
When I got to college, I joined a program before school started that taught us how to do well in school. They taught us reading and writing skills at the college level. This was very helpful, although I ended up ignoring the tips and did poorly. I ended up taking a year and a half off from college because I felt like I wasn't ready.

NOW
I am now at HCC and I am graduating in December. I have learned so many new reading and writing skills in all of my classes. I finally feel prepared for my future as a student and teacher. I hope to help other young students learn these skills and also help them if they are struggling, just as I did.
