    The first latin grammar school was established and I believe shared an impact on multicultural education. The school targeted young males that were believed to be destined for well established careers and the children were in certain social classes to be able to attend the school. The school was the first public school in the United States and I believe it to be a event that shaped multicultural education.

    The law was created in order to ensure that children knew the principles of the puritan religion and Puritans believed it was the best approach to helping children in the education system. The Puritans believed children should focus on prayer and work.

    The oldest catholic school in the United States that was sponsored by the sisters of the order of saint ursula and was a school for girls. The school is still open and I believe it had a great impact on multicultural education because the school taught many students over the years about catholicism.

    The American Philosophical Society was formed by Benjamin Franklin which stood for promoting useful knowledge in the sciences. The society was based on science and human reason which went against many of the beliefs at that time.

    The Declaration of Independence
    The Declaration of Independence was written by Thomas Jefferson and had a very large impact on multicultural education. The document notified the British Empire that the American Colonies were no longer apart of their empire and gave the American Colonies their culture freedom. The document changed the culture of the future country and educated the citizens.

    The 9/11 terrorist attacks were comprised of Al- Qaeda terrorists hijacking four commercial jet airliners and crashing two planes into the twin towers, one plane into the pentagon and another into a less populated area of Pennsylvania. The attacks were absolutely terrifying and devastating. They had a dramatic effect on multicultural education because the U.S. was forced to see that we have enemies, people that do not agree with our beliefs and we are not safe from harm.

When a new person is a elected president of the United States, it has a dramatic impact on multicultural education because we develop new ideas, new ways of thinking, beliefs and we engulf all the new ways of our president.
