  • First Continental Congress

    The first continental congress was a convention of delegates that met in response to the intolerable acts. They also duscussed future boycott plans for British goods.
  • Second Continental Congress

    The Second Continental Congress was a meeting of delgates from the 13 colonies. The Congress helped manage colonial war efforts and make strategies. The meeting was important becasue it brought everyone ideas together for a plan of action.
  • Olive Branch Petition

    The olive Branch petition was an attemp by the colonies to avoid a full scale war with Britain. It was the colonists last effort to try to make amends with the King.
  • Prohibitory Act

    The Prohibitory act was passed by Britain to try to stop the American Revolution. It preovided a blockade around naval ports to stop the colonists from ercieving supplies.
  • Declaration of Independence

    The Declaration of Independence was the document adopted by the Continental Congress that declared the colonies as independent states that together were the United States of America.
