At 2 a.m. the PA legislatures passed an unconstitutional bill that gave them a 16% pay raise. Ed Rendell signed the bill into the law that would soon be subject to much deserved scrutiny. Gene Stilp becomes the main clear opposer to the pay raise.

In a surprising decision, the PA supreme Court votes 5-4 that over 1000 state judges (including the supreme court judges). The Legislatures still appealed it.

State Rep. Metcalfe announces a system of checks and balancesin hopes of repealing the Supreme Court's Sept. 14th decision to allow judges the payraise.

2 Supreme Court Justices (Nigro and Newman) face scrutiny for their roles. Nigro loses hisjob, and Newman barely retains hers. (This all takes place sometime in November 2006)

The Man, The Myth, The Legend Gene Stilp tells Ed Rendell not to eat the groundhog on a visit to Punxatawny for Groundhogs day. Bill Murray also finds himself doing the same thing over and over again. Former Architects of the midnight payraise (former Representatives Deweese, Veon, Purzel, and Fumo) are all behind bars. Legislatures still make more than they did in 2005 though. They didn't forfeit their raises.
