The Toledo War ensues over the Michigan- Ohio boundary. Michigan was previously denied admission to the Union because it would not surrender its claim to the Toledo strip. The area eventually is surrendered in exchange for the western section fo the UP. The first constiuttional covention is held and Stevens T. Mason is inagurated as govenor.
