Lisa was born on this day to Sudjit and Sinn Sottiyothin. In Erikson's first stage, trust versus mistrust, the existential question is whether or not to trust the world. My parents were able to provide me with my infant needs and more, exposing me to warmth, dependability, and affection. I view the world with a trusting heart.

At the age of 18, I decided to enlist in the Air Force. At this time I was well out of the household, moved to a big city and had no idea of who I was and who I wanted to be. All I knew was that working two jobs was not cutting it and decided to enlist in the military for educational benefits, job security and the ability to travel the world. In Erikson's fourth stage, identity versus role confusion, I am concerned with who I was going to be in the world and where I fit in.

Lisa (age 28) and Sean married because they made a decision to share and spend the rest of their lives together. In Erikson's fifth stage, intimacy versus isolation, the crisis is between becoming emotionally close to others in committed relationships (intimacy) or keeping to oneself -- not letting anyone really know you and not being committed to relationships with others.
