    Rhuddlan Castle

    Wiston Castle

    It is located in the village of Wiston near Haverfordwest, Pembrokeshire, south Wales.It was named after, and probably built by, an early Flemish settlerr by the name of Wizo (in Latin) or Gwys (welsh). This castle is rankded one of the best perserved castles in Wales.

  • Cilgerran Castle

    Cilgerran Castle

    Cilgerran Castle overlooks the river Teifi where it merges with the Plysgog stream. The castle was porbably constructed by William Marshal's son.The castle was able to control both a natural crossing point and the passage of seagoing ships.     Newcastle Emlyn Castle

    Newcastle Emlyn is located 10m SE of Cardigan, Carmarthenshire, southwest Wales. The grassy site overlooks the river Teifi. It was porbably built by Maredudd ap Rhys around 1240.     Llangibby Motte & Castle

    No stone buildings remain visible on the motte and bailey site. It was located at Llangibby, Monmouthshire, southeast Wales. It was incomplete when Gilbert de Clare V was killed at the Battle of Bannockburn in 1314. It does not say who constructed it.

    The castle is located near the village of Dolwyddelan, Conwy, North Walesnear the village of Dolwyddelan, Conwy, north Wales.It is said the Tomen Castell was the birth place of the the likely builder of the later castle at Dolwyddelan,Llywelyn ap Iorwerth.There is no evidence for any building at the present castle site earlier than the early 13th century.     Angle Tower House

    Angle Tower was built in the fourtheenth century.it is located at Pembrokeshire, west Wales Pembrokeshire. It overlooks the sheltered anchorage of Angle Bay near the mouth of the Milford Haven estuary and might have been built with the intentions of being used as a defence against raiders coming from the sea.
