    Alexander Graham Bell yelled into the reciever, "Come here Mr. Watson, I want to see you!" The telephone changed the way people lived their lives. Instead of going out to talk to someone, or sending a letter which might take days to get a response, people could make a quick call from the inside of their home to hold conversations instantly.

    The Italian inventor, Marconi, sent his first radio signal in 1895. A few years later he sent a signal across the English channel. It sucessfully went through in 1902. The radio is used for spreading information to mass amounts of people.
  • Electronic Television

    Farnsworth's Image Dissector tube sent out it's first image from his lab in San Francisco. Three years later he sent out his first image of a human with the system. The television can be used for sharing events and news with the world, or entertaining millions of people.

    Martin Cooper made the first mobile phone call. Now in 2012 almost everyone has a cell phone that they use to call, text, surf the web, and now with the expanding app industry, even learn an instrument.

    Myspace is a social networking site that allows people to make personal pages about themselves or companies they work for. Although Myspace is not as popular as it used to be, there's still an active 30 million users. Myspace was bought in 2011 by Specific Media and Justin Timberlake for $35 million.

    Mark Zuckerberg created Facebook in his Harvard dorm room with a few friends. Currently Facebook has over 800 million active users. Facebook is an easy way to comunicate with people no matter where they live. Companies can set up a Facebook page and people can like the page, therefore the company knows who likes their product and can focus on their audience.

    Youtube is a video uploading site. On Youtube, businesses can upload videos and link them on to any website. Many people have been offered careers because of a video they would post. Youtube can be used for blogging, news, music, and advertising.

    On Twitter, you get 140 characters to tell the world what you are doing at the moment. With a growing rate of 300 million users world wide, a lot of celebrities and businesses hooked on to the Twitter train. With twitter you can reply to what people say and even send direct messages to the person.
  • Google +

    Google +
    Google Plus started as an invite only social networking site in mid 2011. It was opened to the public later in September. Google + has an estimated 62 million users. Google + is easy to use for adding friends in social circles, and Google + chat. The free Google + chat allows you to Video Call up to 10 people at the same time, which is very useful for business meetings.
