  • French and Indian War

    French and Indian War
    The French and Indian War was over land in North America. The British and French wanted land and the fish and fur trade. It was in North America. The French and Indian War was also known as the Seven Years War even though it was nine yeas. The war was 1754- 1763. Because of the war King George the third was in dept and they lost a lot of soldiers. So then the King started taxing the colonists. The colonists started getting angry and that started the American Revolution.
  • Sugar Act

    Sugar Act
    Because of the French and Indian War the King because in dept. The King needed more money so he decided to tax the colonists. So then he and Parliment passed the Sugar Act. The Sugar Act is tax on sugar and mollasses. The colonists were angry so they started boycotting and trying to stop the unfair taxing.
  • Stamp Act

    Stamp Act
    Since the French and Indian War occcured the King was in dept. So he decided to tax the colonists because he protected them from the Indians. So he and Parliment passed the Stamp Act. The tax was on newpapers, licenses, playing card, and basically anything on paper. The angry colonists were furious and formed a group called the Sons of Liberty.
  • Boston Massacre

    Boston Massacre
    The colonists were mad at King George the third for taxing them on goods. So then one day the colonists were throwing snowballs and they were taunting the British soldiers. One of the British soldiers fired and five colonists got killed including Cripscus Attucks. One person asked Paul Revere who was an engraver if he would engrave the event that happened. When Paul Revere engraved it it made it look like the British soldiers were shooting the colonists.

    Since the colonists boycotted on the Townshed Acts, King took away those acts. But King liked the money he was earning and he knew how much the colonists liked tea so he and Parliment passed the Tea Act. The Tea Act was tax on tea. The colonists were furious and they were only allowed to buy from England. This act led to the Boston Tea Party.

    Boston Tea Party
    The Bosoton Tea Party was when the Sons of Liberty dressed as Mohawk Indians were dumping tea into the Boston Harbor. Colonists were mad at King and his Parliment because of the Tea Act, which is tax on tea. The Sons of Liberty were dressed as Mohawk Indians dumping tea furiously. Since the Sons of Liberty dumped tea into the Harbor the king closed down the harbor untill they payed for the tea.

    Intolerable Acts
    Sine the Boston Tea Party occured King and his Parliment passed these acts. This act was a multitude a acts. One of the ones that really affected the colonists was the Boston Port Act. The Boston Port Act was that the Bosotn Harbor was closed. This meant that nothing would go in or out of the city untill the wasted tea was paid for.
  • Ride of Paul Revere

    Ride of Paul Revere
    Paul Revere's ride was to warn that the British were coming. It was at midnight from Charlestown to Lexington. With the Sons of Liberty they tracted how the British were coming. One kong at the Christ Church if the British were coming by land, two kongs if by sea. Turned out that the British were coming by sea. The British wanted the militia's weapons so Paul Revere rode out on his horse to warn the people in Lexington.
  • Battle of Lexington and Concord

    Battle of Lexington and Concord
    The people in the Battle of Lexington and Concord were British soldiers and Minutemen. Minutemen were in the militia, a group of volenteer soldiers. When the British discovered that the colonists were starting an army, the British wanted to take their weapons. That is what the war was about. The battle was at Lexington and Concord. The fire that was s shot was known as the shot heard around the world.
  • Declaration of Independence

    Declaration of Independence
    The Declaration of Independece was a letter to the King saying all the things he did that angered the colonists and that all men were created equal. Thomas Jefferson wrote this and all the people who signed were in risk of getting killed if they didn't win their independence. It was in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. The colonists won their independence for our country.
