Luther posted the 95 Theses on the University's Chapel door which critiqued the Church's corruption. -

Debate
In June and July he participated in a debate on Indulgences. He also continued to leacture and write in Wittenburg. -

Pope's threat
The pope issued a bull threatening Luther with excommunication. -

Luther and the bull
Luther receives the bull on October 10th and publicly burns it December 10th. -
