Luther is caught in the storm that turned his life around. After he survived the storm, he decided to give up his career as a lawyer and decided to join an Augustinian order of monks.

Instead of being a lawyer, Luther decides to become a doctor of theology in Wittenberg.

Luther preaches against the sale of indulgences, and on 10/31 he nails the 95 Theses to the church door. It then spreads like wildfire after that. Martin changes his last name to "Luther" which might be a play on words meaning "Martin the Free One"

Luther was brought before the Council of Worms and refused to retract his earlier statements. This challenge of authority changes the course of history. Luther is then brought into the protection of Frederick the Wise and at his castle translates the New Testament from Greek to German in 10 weeks.

Luther returns to Lutherstadt Wittenberg and sets about many theological and social reforms, among these education for all. He also influence many musicians and poets to write more songs for church services.
