Martin Luther was born in Eisleben, Saxony Germany on November 10, 1483. His parents were Hans and Margarette Luther. Martins family moved to Mansfeld in 1484. Around 1490 Martin started school trying to become a lawyer.

Martin ended school and quit becoming a lawyer. He instead became a monk.

Now as a professer(in theology)at Whittenburg University while preparing his lectures he finally gained religious enlightenment by realizing to not fear God, but instead believe in faith with him.

After writing his 95 thesus paper and nailing it to the universitys chapel, things did not settle well for the Pope and Martin. The paper was printed and quickly spread through Germany. A meeting was held for the craziness that had become of the paper, but it only ended in a shouting match and the Pope trying to excommunicate Martin.

Martin was officially excommunicated from the church, May 8 the council banned Martin writings and was now considered a wanted man. His friends helped him hide out in Wartburg castle.

In 1525 Martin found a nun that had taken refuge in Whittenberg, her name was Katharina von Bora. He fell in love and then married her and had 6 children.
