1956 the Montgomery Bus boycott lasted 381 days until the law was changed to allow people black people to sit freely on the bus.

In 1956 MLK delivered his famous “I Have A Dream” speech. This speech was lead by a march of over 20,000 followers to protest racial segregation.

In 1968 he helped over a thousands of sanitation workers in Memphis with their 64 day strike for better working conditions and pay.
