Before Phoenix Junior College is established, Phoenix Union High school began accepting post-graduate students. In 1913, two students enrolled in the program.

Weston Carpenter becomes the first Dean of Phoenix Junior College. The college finishes its first year with a student body of 60.

Maricopa County Junior College District is created and acquires Phoenix College. The GOverning board establishes Glendale and Mesa campuses as extensions of Phoenix College.

A Mesa campus is established as an extention of Phoenix JC

Scottsdale Community College begins classes at Scottsdale High School and North Scottsdale Baptist Church as an extension of Mesa CC.

SCC begins classes at it's permanent site on the Salt River- Pima Indian Reservation, in temporary classrooms
