    The Battle of Britain was the first defeat of Hitler. It showed Germany could be defeated and that use of air force was an effective strategy.

    This battle was important because Hitler broke the non-aggression pact with Russia which showed the sense of power he had acquired.

    5.)The Soviets were successful in their defense
    This battle was a turning point, it was the first major loss for the Germans in WWII. The Germans didn't advance farther in Eastern Europe, a loss for their plan.

    This was very important because the invasion gave France its freedom and allowed the Allies to be in a position to defeat Germany. It's known as the beginning of the end of WW2. It gave opportunities for Germany's defeat.

    This was the last major German offensive in WW2. This battle ruined their army and was a major part in the end of WW2. It was impossible for Germans to launch other offensives.

    This was very important because it was the last major battle of WWII and it resulted in Germany's surrender as well as the end to Hitler's rule. The Allies and USSR were victorious.
