Murder of Lin Jun
Lin Jun, an international student, studying in Montreal, was last seen on May 24 2012. Police offically reported him as missing on May 29 2012. On May 25 Luka Magnotta uploaded a video entitled '1 Lunatic 1 Icepick' to bestgore.com. In this video Lin Jun is naked and tied to a bed. He is then stabbed by Magnotta with an ice pick and a kitchen knife. Next the body is dismembered and subjected to acts of necrophilia and lastly, flesh is cut off with a knife and fork while a dog chews the body. -
Packages containing body parts found.
The Conservative Party of Canada received a package containing a left foot. A package containing a left hand was addressed to the Liberal Party. A decomposing torso was found in a suitcase in an alleyway. These body parts were later identified as belonging to Lin Jun. -
Interpol issued a Red Notice for Magnotta.

Berlin police captured Magnotta.
Magnotta fled America and was found in an internet cafe while reading stories about himself. The next day he appeared in court in Berlin and 2 weeks later he was put in solitary confinement. -
More packages delivered.
A package containing a right foot was delivered to St. Gearge's School and a package containing a right hand was delivered to False Creek Elementary School in Vancouver. Both of these packages were sent from Montreal. -
Lin Jun's head was found.
After police received an anonymous tip, Lin Jun's head was recovered from the edge of a small lake in Angrignon Park, Montreal. -
Final Convictions.
Magnotta was convicted for first-degree murder; committing an indignity to a body, criminally harassing members of Parliament; mailing obscene and indecent material and publishing obscene materials. He is currently serving a life sentice in prison.
