The Odyssey was first told by Homer believed to be written at the end of the 8th century. The poem follows the story of Odysseus, the king of Ithaca. Odysseus begins his journey back home after the Trojan War, but experiences many trials and roadblocks that keeps the journey continuing for 10 years.
