  • Brown Bear

    Brown Bear
My grandmother always told me that when I was young, around the age of four, I was obsessed with the book "Brown Bear, Brown Bear, What do you See?" I have no memory of this book what-so-ever. MY grandma says that this was the first book I could fully read.
  • Story Telling via Video Games

    Story Telling via Video Games
My favorite way to "read" a story is to play through it in a video game. For example, a game called "The Witcher 3" has an amazing story, graphics, and game play. It gives you something to while the story is playing out. There are also games, such as the Tale Tale Series, where the entire point of the game is to be a story.
  • Science "Game Show"

    Science "Game Show"
When I was fairly young, around the age of 6 or 7, my sister got a very large science book for her birthday. We had the bright idea to set up two podiums, which were actually two large speakers, and do a game show were I had to answer the questions she gave me.
  • Aunt's House

    Aunt's House
Whenever I traveled to my aunt's house, who happened to be a 5th grade teacher at the time, she made me read books. I was in the 3rd grade at the time reading 5th grade books because it was all she had. One book I remember reading parts of was "Diary of a Wimpy Kid."
  • STLP Help Desk

    STLP Help Desk
Between 4th Grade and 8th Grade I participated in the STLP Help Desk competition which required us to work throughout our school and tell the judges what we have done, how we did it, and how we could improve it in the future.
  • Speech and Demonstration

    Speech and Demonstration
I cannot remember the exact year, around 4th grade I believe. The 4-H club held some kind of speech and demonstration competition. I did a demonstration on how to make a chocolate cake.
  • 7th Grade STLP Narrative

    7th Grade STLP Narrative
For the STLP competition of my 7th grade year I decided to write a narrative about my sister, who passed in 2013, for the Storytelling competition. This competition also required a video with a voice over.
  • Favorite Books

    Favorite Books
I have two favorite book series. "The Maze Runner" series by James Dashner and "The Sylo Chronicles" by D.J. MacHale. I first read all of these books around 7th grade.
  • Writing in 8th Grade

    Writing in 8th Grade
Fiction is by far my favorite thing to read and write. In 8th grade I wrote around 15,000 words. Like everything else I do, I got bored of it and haven't touched it in over a year.
  • Podcasts

    Podcasts
I've started listening to podcasts just about every day now. I usually listen to them while I'm working on school work or playing games on my computer. Podcasts are easily my favorite thing to listen to. It gives me something to pay attention to while do anything boring cough homework cough cough.
